Use and maintenance of welding nozzle

When using the new welding nozzle, set the temperature to 250-280 ℃ to apply tin protection to the nozzle.

Choose the appropriate nozzle size based on the size of the solder joint.

To prevent oxidation of the soldering nozzle, a fresh layer of solder should be applied before placing it back on the iron frame.

The cleaning sponge should not contain too much water, which can achieve good cleaning effect on the welding nozzle and avoid rapid cooling of the welding nozzle; Using a non moist cleaning sponge can damage the solder nozzle and prevent soldering.

Improper use of the welding nozzle. After oxidation, do not clean the surface coating by grinding. Use metal wire or resurrection paste to clean the welding nozzle at low temperature (250-280 ℃).

Do not apply gravity to the welding nozzle during welding and avoid soldering at the same location.

Try to use low-temperature welding, generally controlling the welding temperature between 320-380 ℃. If high temperature is required for welding, please analyze whether the selection of welding station and welding nozzle matches.

How to choose the appropriate soldering iron tip

Type of soldering iron tip, thermal conductivity, wear resistance and oxidation resistance, fine component soldering ability, applicable characteristics

B-type head, also known as round head with a tip size of 1.0, is generally preferred. The tip should have a conical shape, and the front end can be welded. Application scope: Suitable for general welding. Regardless of the size of the solder joint, a B-type soldering iron tip can be used

Type I tip, also known as pointed tip tip, has a size difference of 0.2 and a good difference. The front end of the soldering iron tip is in the shape of a needle tip. Application scope: Suitable for environments with limited soldering space or for correcting tin bridges generated during chip soldering

K-type head, also known as blade head, is generally in the shape of a blade with a mouth that can be vertically or pull welded. It belongs to a multi-purpose soldering iron head. Application scope: Suitable for soldering SOJ/PLCC/SOP/QFP power supplies, grounding components, modified tin bridges, connectors, etc

C-type head, also known as horseshoe head, the model number represents the diameter of the cylinder. Generally, the mouth is horseshoe shaped, and the inclined part of the mouth is welded. Application scope: Suitable for welding with high tin content, such as welding large areas, thick terminals, and welding environments with large solder pads

D-type head, also known as straight head flat head model number, represents the width of the flat head, which is very good. Generally, the mouth has a flat head shape and is welded with the flat head part. Application scope: Suitable for welding environments that require a large amount of tin, such as welding large areas, thick terminals, and large solder joints
